Project: Gas Mixing Station
Department: Geology
Primary Investigator: Dr. Hailiang Dong
Purpose of Project: The gas station will be used for the project entitled "Microbial reduction of Fe in sedimentary clays: implication for subsurface microbial ecology and bioremediation". This project is funded by American Chemical Society. The station will be used to establish anaerobic conditions for the microbial-clay interaction experiments by replacing air with N2 + CO2.
IL Comment: Project was built to user's specifications by the Instrumentation Lab using stainless steel fittings & valves, and a purchased flow meter and filter assembly, all of which were mounted on a custom lexan frame.
Cost to researcher: $1048.08
